In honor of Berte's 5 Year Anniversary, we collaborated with our friend Alexis Tellefsen of Tellefsen Atelier on this cornflower blue tapered, ribbed mug. Not only is this mug as pretty as its namesake flower, it feels damn good in the hand...but then again all of Alexis's mugs do ;)
Artist Statement: For my Berte anniversary mug I knew that I wanted to challenge myself to design a new form that highlights the textures and colors that I most often use in my work, but in a fresh new way. My designs tend to be very cylindrical so to mix it up I went with a tapered shape and a complimenting handle that still feels like “me”, but with a little twist. I’m so happy Aimee and I decided to go with my new Cornflower glaze. I love how juicy the surface is and how the glaze pools in the ribs of the mug and handle.

- Hand built with white stoneware and finished off with a custom-made cornflower blue glaze

- Food safe glaze. Dishwasher and Microwave safe, although hand washing is always recommended to give your mug the longest life possible!
