This is a non-phototoxic essential oil that has not been found to cause any skin reaction when exposed to the sun, unlike other essential oils like grapefruit or bergamot. However, if you have a known skin sensitivity or allergy to essential oils, then we do not recommend that you use C-Shells and consult with your healthcare provider before doing so.
- How to Apply: As the last step of your AM skincare routine, after moisturizer and before makeup, apply C-Shells evenly over your face, neck, and other exposed areas of the body. We recommend at least 1/4 teaspoon for the face and 1/4 teaspoon for the neck in order to get SPF 30. Reapply at least every two hours for optimal protection. C-Shells is not water-resistant—we recommend using a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating.
