In honor of Berte's 5 Year Anniversary, we collaborated with Lara Diaz of Cecilia East/West on a quilted mug with a soft, yet still vibrant, color palette. Inspired by quilts, fabric, patterns, and checkers, this exclusive mug with its chunky handle will leave you feeling inspired after your morning cup of joe.
Artist Statement: I really wanted to do a mug design that felt true to what I love making right now: colorful and playful pieces inspired by pattern. For me they are a fun way to play with color and design. It felt important to come together on an aspect of the mug- choosing a colorway that felt true to the energy Aimee & Berte have. Part of the fun of painting these is the surprise of how they feel when finished. I love how they ended up feeling!- really sweet, fun and having a lot of softness to them.
